noobie with first boat

hi to all. i am new to this site and to boating. i have mostly done reading and trying to learn all i can. recently bought my first boat. it is a 1978 Mark Twain Bowrider. although i havent had it on the water yet, i love it. it is in great condition. this site is great and so full of info. thanks to you all who have shared their knowledge and experiences. i know that whatever i need to learn, i will find it here. here is a couple pics of the ol' girl. i picked it up for $1500.

Nice looking boat, my first boat was a 12' jon I carried around on top my car so you are one up on me there.

thanks. i hope i get good service out of it too. however i just learned the the drive system it has isnt the best and is hard to maintain. its an omc 400. i hope it doesnt give me any trouble. i have posted a topic in the omc drive section. any info on this will be GREATLY appreciated. thanks again

I have a 1988 Twain. Love it. Check out www.marktwainboats.org Iboats is better but the other site will make you prouder.
