We are looking to upgrade soon and I happened to find a 2004 Nordic Thunder 2420. It has a cuddy and appears to be a high performance boat. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any information on this boat. We routinely experience 1-3' chop around here so I am a little concerned about the deadrise etc. Based on the pictures it definitely looks like a quick boat!! We currently own a 1990 larson 210 cuddy, which we find rides a little too rough.

I was wrong. Nordic USA just responded to my email and they are not associated with this boat.

Bump for comments. Looks like this boat is not very well known. Below is the little info I have:

- It is 24' long. I don't know the weight or deadrise.
-370 hours on Mercruser 6.2L engine with a Bravo 1 drive and fresh water cooling

-fridge, porta potty, VHF radio, stereo / CD player, table, bimini top, full camper enclosure, mooring cover, tube, zero effort controls, duel band fish finder, chart plotter, built in end battery charger
- Used in salt water for the past 5 years. Before that it was a lake boat. No bottom paint on the boat.

We will be using the boat in freshwater. Is the freshwater system an issue or benefit? Any idea what a boat like this may be worth?

No Title

Here are few few pictures I found on the internet of the same year/make and model of the boat.

That's low hours. The only concern I'd have is if the salt water was well flushed after each use. Without that maintenance it could have issues with any heat exchangers and the exhaust manifolds. The 6.2 is an excellent engine and the Bravo drive is solid. It looks like to has a good V on the bow but I can't see how far it stays deep. You can measure the transom deadrise if you see the boat. At a guess, I think it would be at least as good as your Larson, and probably better.

Value on an off brand boat should be lower than a major manufacturer in similar condition. That is because the interest in them is lower, as witnessed by the plethora of responses you've had so far. The boat might be as good or better but there are fewer buyers. It is a good looking boat and seems well equipped. Test drive it so you know how it handles the conditions you expect and it's never a bad idea to get a mechanic to confirm the engine and drive condition.

Excellent - thanks for the information rallyart. The boat is located approx 5 hrs from me so I need to decide if it is worth the trip down. It is still too cold for a test drive. I'll take you advice and wait for the weather to improve - it is too risky to purchase without a test drive and proper marine survey. Sometimes I just get too fixated and forget the importance of proper due-diligence. Of course the seller is indicating this is an off season price but I'm sure they will honor it regardless.
