Need a new blade, this one has been re-worked a bit and will use it for a back-up. I was looking at the Michigan Wheel 3-blade Vortex or the Turning point Hustler. What do you think of the prop on the boat now? Normal wear or cav burn? I want a bit more cupping than the OEM version I have now.

More likely poor pre-painting preparation.

You don't say what prop that is...looks like a cobra, so I'm guessing a 14-1/2X19???
Looks like the diffuser ring is gone too.
Tell us a bit more about it and we can go from there.

It is a Michigan Wheel, Michigan Match 14.5" x 19. RPM at WOT is okay, It's a Cobra alright.

The diffuser ring is there but a bit banged up.

I was looking at the Vortex for a bit more cupping than the MW MAtch. Pound for pound these props seem very similar.

I also considered the TP Hustler. They claim the Hustler has SS performance caracteristics...but my 5 year old thinks he is a stand up comic so claims are just that. The TP is only avail. in 14 1/4".

I just thought the pic would help determine what is going on back there.

The prop is as old as the boat (18 yrs). Local prop shop said bring it in and they can "re-work it" for about $60 bucks. Claim it will be balanced and good as new, will add cupping if desired. I want a new prop and keep this as a back up, as is.

Your thoughts?
