nosecones on outboards

need to know if a nosecone on a 150 intruder on a 18' bassboat would increase any speed or fuel economy

This sounds like an outboard question. How fast is your rig? Propeller size & type, WOT rpm's.<br /><br />That is a good gearcase and if you are not going over 70mph save your money for maintenance.

i know it is a racker prop and it runs in the mid 60's and the nosecone is one that you install on the existing lower unit . this was just and idea i had for some cheap speed . <br /><br />thanks for your input

They Look Good, On the Trailer.....<br />But, as Master Tech states.... Unless you're running Well over 70mph, your Wasting your Money....

thanks master tech and bondo , thought it was more of a dynamic thing in the water . i was tweaking a few things here and there in my down time. its not a speed deamon anyway, so i just fish .
