Not good... trimmed one drive with tie bar

Ok, so I trailer trimmed up the drives to move the boat a couple weeks back and forgot to kick the second battery on. Ended up running the starboard drive all the way up while the port drive stayed down. Its a pair of Bravo 1 Drives (old style) with some brand of stainless tie bar. Looking at it, I'm pretty sure I've now bent the tie bar end... and I'm thinking this incident may also have been the culprit to my vibration that I'm trying to find.

So, what all could I have bent, broke, or screwed up? Could this now cause a heavy vibration at 3600 rpms which tones down with more or less speed? Where can I find just a tie bar end (looks like a johnny joint but stainless)? I cant seem to find one anywhere. Anything else I should know or inspect?

Definately a lesson learned and it wont happen again.... I love when you have days like this. Thanks in advance for the help.

Ayuh,... The Tie-bars are aftermarket Hot-rod stuff,... You're not going to find 'em anywhere else...
And,..
It's entirely possible you bent something,... A Close Inspection is the only way to know...

Thats kinda what I figured on the tie bar... I may wind up having to get a whole tie bar just to fix that end.

I've looked over it a bit and havent noticed anything... is there anything in particular I should scrutinize when inspecting?

I'm also curious if jackin the drive over like it did from the tie bar would do something that would cause the vibration.

Well... replaced the tie bar end, and ended up finding a rear anchor pin messed up. Swapped it out, did a drive service, lubed everything and all is well! No vibes to speak of and she's about ready for summer... Going thru all the transom mounted stuff and resealing. Looks like its been a while since its been done!
