Not having any luck...

I have a 1993 6 hp Evinrude E6RETB that I picked up. The seller had tried to repair it and for some reason removed the recoil starter and no longer knew it's location. I have the little motor running good now but I am having no luck finding a starter for it. I have the usual searches going on Ebay and whatnot... I was hoping one of you guys might know where I could find one or some other place to check. Thanks.

Check your local NAPA mine has helped me a lot getting parts.

Bullie, do you have any boat salvage yards around where you live. I know we do around where I live and if you do, you could find something to work out from such a place. Finding new parts some times for older engines can be iffy. But they made more then one, so boat salvage yards can possibly have such a setup... Just a suggestion :noidea:

gm280, If there is a salvage yard around I am not aware of it. I had considered trying one but I was hoping to sort of feel you guys out on a reputable place to contact.
