Not Ideal!!!

Well I came home from a fish this arvo put the screw in hose connector on so I could go get a beer and not have to worry about it for a couple of minutes, BIG MISTAKE, Cracked a beer grabbed a biccy and some cheese, went back out, hose is on the ground, I must have had the pressure up to high and the hose's spat itself off. would of had to of been running for at least two or three minutes with no water. No apparent damage that I can see, I'm tossing up whether to pull the lower unit tomorrow, I only changed the impellar two months ago and they don't grow on trees.

put it in the a bucket of water and see if its ok. the impella is the least of your problems could have cooked head gasket also.if it dosnt get hot you got lucky i would check compression to see if any other damage

did a compression test, still got 125 on both cylinders, pump seems to be working allright, I just hope I didn't fry the gasket cause I've just put a new one of them on as well, their was no sizzling or steam so I'm just going to have to hope for the best, it's still a kick in the guts, and a wake up call..
