Not starting

I tried starting my Mercury Optimax 90hp 2007. Turned over just fine but shut down and now nothing but a click sound. I found one of the spark plug cable was not completely connected. (Duh). Hoped it was a fuse but they are fine. Before I take it in for service would appreciate any suggestions if it is an easy fix. Thanks

If it just clicks when you turn the key it's something starter related. Could be a dead or low battery, bad connection at the battery, starter or starter relay. Could be a bad starter. I would start by giving the battery a good full charge and try again. If that fails I would directly actuate the starter with a battery and booster cables but if you don't know how to do this then bring it in if charging the battery doesn't do anything.
