Novice Boater buying a used Maxum

Hi all,<br /><br />I am a novice boater living in FL. I have been looking for an entry level boat for the past few weeks. All the choices can be overwhelming. <br />I have found a 2002 Maxum 1800sr with the 3.0 135 hp engine and 97 hours on it. The asking price is $9800.00. Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.<br /><br />Kevin

As long the motor was not overheatet or was submerged in saltwater, I think you cant go wrong with it.<br />I would get a depth sounder and some boating lessons from experienced friends.
