Had unexpected 12 ft. fall from staging/ladder at work while doing siding. Repairs on left wrist included installation of metal plate and screws, and three pins. Any members in the New Bedford, Ma. area with nothing to do? [only kidding] This is time of year when every one is out there is enjoying their boat!!
Hey, I'll get to it when I can!! Dan

Yes, you"re right there, but the better half is an ultrasound tech at the local hospital, and has seen a lot. She is also on vacation this week, and is watching me like a hawk- especially since I'm on pain meds. Better to be safe than sorry, with her around! Dan

You're about to embark on a great learning experience...how to do all the simple stuff you normally do with one hand. It takes a while but you will learn to do things like put on your socks, etc., with only one usable arm/hand. Learned this repeatedly from Feb through May, while recovering from 2 rotator cuff operations on the same limb...luckily I'm a rightie and the sturgeon cut on the leftie. You'll also have to reteach that injured paw how to do some things after the doc gives you clearance for rehab. Do all the rehab and more if you want it 100% functional again...good luck and hang in there.

Rotator cuff-------twice on same limb??? My problem is a picnic compared to that! Hope everything worked out for you.

Oh- just got in trouble for cutting the lawn on my lawn tractor. Told my wife not to worry-- tractor has all the safety features--cannot possibly hurt myself doing that. Well, enough of that- you guys enjoy the rest of the weekend. And for tmcalavy-----thanks for the advice-I hear you. Dan

There is a man in this area that repairs scratches in cars......... he sands, fills the scratches with matching paint and buffs the entire area........ does very good work..... oh yeah......... he only has one arm. You will adapt.
