there is a round port on one side of exhaust tuner towards top is this supposed to be an open thru hole about 1/4" diameter? thanks

Not sure what you're referring to. There shouldn't be any holes in the exhaust cover. Can you describe your situation better?

The long square tube in center of midsection that exhaust goes down from bottom of powehead

Oh. The exhaust pipe. There might be a relief hole near the top for idle, but not sure. Elvin could probably confirm.
