Bought a '92 Sportcraft 232 WAC with the 430B/ DP-C I/O and the outdrive needs a lot of repair/refurb due to salt water corrosion . The engine is in great shape with a couple of accesory problems.
Rather than start a thread for each, I thought it better to ask several questions at once;
1. Can I use a automotive P/S pump ?
2. Who is the best source for V/P parts ? other than the VP fact site>
3. Who is the best source for raw water pump parts (mine is original VP crank drive) discontinued mdl, but
just needs impellor and seal)
4. What is the best cleaning and treating procedure and paint for the O/D ?
