Hello!! New to this thread and I find the information from fellow boaters immensely helpful.. there is a thread regarding questions and issues related to the Volvo/ Penta Nuetra salt system which is on my 2021 Regal Express with a Volvo EVC 350 with an Ocean X drive. I am experiencing 2 specific issues and looking for guidance …
1. My Solenoid is clearly not functioning .. I purchased a new one … can anyone comment on the IN/OUT Etchings on the part with arrows? How do I interpret which direction this should go in regards to the feed coming from the tank, thru the solenoid and then into the engine line??
Images show the bad solenoid and the new one … if you zoom in on the new part you will see the arrows with the IN/OUT letters.
Volvo has given me No Guidance on this!!
2. Nuetra salt tank… I experienced the crud buildup at the bottom of the tank and learned from this forum on how to address that. I discovered a tiny piece of green plastic that appears to act as a stopper when the tank has liquid in it. What is odd is this if you blow into the line after separating it from the Solenoid it clearly bubbles. But when you suck on it, the little green piece locks up the tank (think antisiphon). I ordered another tank that arrived today and it is set up exactly the same way with that little green float… can’t fathom how liquid would flow out of the tank with the way it’s designed …
I appreciate any all advice and counsel
Thanks so much
George
