I need a couple of the nylon bearings that go into the body for the low speed needle valve.
This is for a 1973 50 HP evinrude motor. The manual states that it is for a Type 4 carburetor, with fixed high-speed orifice and adjustable low speed needle valve.
These were installed on 50 hp models, 1971-75 and 1978. They were also used on the 1976, 55 hp models.
I see them in the explode view in the book but I can't find a part # or a place where I might get a couple.
Anyone have any ideas, or carburetor parts connections that could help me out?
Thanks, Phil

Part number 314166 bearing. Also comes with carburetor repair kit #384412. From a dealer, or you can order direct from BRP's website http://shop.evinrude.com/
With the price of gas, paying postage can be cheaper than chasing off to a dealer to get it.

Re: Nylon Bearing for low speed needle valve

Thanks a lot F_R. I looked on the web site but couldn't find it. The part number will help out a bunch.
I didn't get one in the carb kit I got from Sierra. I'll give the web site another go.
Thats the kind of information I was hopping to get instead of the word "dealer"
Thanks Again

I see why I couldn't see the web site parts. I was using firefox for a browser and when I changed to explorer they showed up, but fiefox wouldn't let them display. Got em on order.

I can't seem to send you a message. Thanks for the offer. I need two of them. I will gladly send you pay-pal money , or I'll send you a MO for postage. Send me a message and I'll give my contact info. I was waiting to send the order for them to add some gaskets to it, glad I procrastinated a little.

I have four in my hand. Use a #2 crochet needle, sharpen the sides until it looks like a harpoon point. The sharp point cuts the plastic seat, and the barb will pull it out of the carb. Clantongray@gmail.com
