the engine check lite is on, and chryler wants 86 bucks to read it. i got a 94 jeep gk,98 jeep gk, 2k dodge dakoda and a 2k vw diesle.
i know that several shops will read them for free, but thouht that haveing one for general mtce wouldnt be bad if i can find one for the last three vehicals. the 94 will allow you to manipulate the code out without a reader.

I'm not familiar with your vehicle so I'm just speaking generally - most computer/CELs' that I have come across have a built in feature that allows you to read codes by 'flashes' of the CEL, don't need a scanner. Try a google search - ya never know.....

EDIT: My bad, just checked my manuals and from 98 onwards - scanner only.

Aldo

I would stay away from any of the cheaper scanners that you would find at automotive stores they are real crappy and not worth the money a good used scanner is about $500.
