Hey ob! Didn't hear back from you on my other post! Clymer manual says to use a flywheel puller to remove the prop shaft housing, which contains the 2 seals and O-ring for my 89' 110 Johnson. Any tricks to make this job easier? What kind of puller do I need, if I even need one? Thanks in advance!

Hey mercboy,<br />I just replaced the seals and "O" rings in my 140 Johnson. I used an automotive 3 leg puller with a center threaded rod. The jaws are reversed to grab the outter portion of the bearing support. Tighten down on the center rod onto the prop shaft and you should be able to walk the support right out. You can lubricate the inside of the lower unit housing with any liquid ie; dish soap , diesel fuel or rusr bust. No problems should occur. You may have too crank down hard on the center rod of the puller. I don't like to hit the rod under a load during this operation but you may have to.
