OBD port

I have a 2103 Bayliner 255 with Merc 5.0 (cat) with the check engine light on. I brought my OBD2 scan tool down but it did not fit. Does anyone know what the port type is for the scan tool? Is it just a OBD1 port? I would like to see what the code is its throwing and reset it. Any advice would be great.

It takes marine specific scan tools. Standard automotive scan tools will not work.
As I said in your other thread, it's brand new, take it back to the dealer for warranty repair.

Deaer is 350 miles away. Its not going back there over an idiot light.

You don't have to take it to the dealer you bought it from, any qualified Mercruiser dealer can check it out for warranty.
