I seem to have corrected the problem with an alarm butttttttttttttttttttttttttttt. I think it was overheating. Found a clamp missing on an oil line and the oil tank cap was very lose.
I still, on ocation, hear an alarm go off as I'm riding.
It may be one or two beeps but nothing on going. I can't say its overheating or an oil situation. The alarm won't stay on long enough to say heating or oil problem. Counld it be just a faulty sensor or what?
Can anyone shed some light as to what this may be.
Thanks

Re: Occational Motor Alarm

Not sure what motor you have but have a go at this,is the reserve oil tank on the motor full,I am assuming you have a main tank in the boat and reserve on the motor. If the level on the motor is right at the point where the alarm goes off it may cause the problem you mention,it must be full to the top.

Re: Occational Motor Alarm

You may have hit the nail on the head.
I never did add oil to the tank after my first alarm problem. It did lose about 6 to 8 oz of oil and I never added any more thinking it would pump it from the main oil tank.
I will definently check the reverse tank ASAP.
THANK YOU
