Hi All,

I am a newer boat owner, with an 18' Sea Ray and like to fish for striped bass in the Sea Isle City, NJ area. I have had the boat out from Avalon to Townsends Inlet, no problem, however looking to expand my explorations.

Any other area's that you would recommend for some fall striped bass fishing?

I don't want to go out to the rips yet, I am looking for some area's where I can launch, go fishing for a few hours and get back safe and sound avoiding major risk areas. Again, new to boating and taking it easy.

Thanks for any advice.

Re: Ocean City to Cape May, NJ

About the only way it is safe in that size boat is being VERY careful about the WIND report

Today is dead calm tomorrow Thursday 11/1 it is suposed to hit 22 MPH midday :(

It is pretty rare in the spring and fall to get a full day of low wind and if it picks up the wave size will pick up very fast also

How are the conditions of the inlets you use when the tide is NOT in your favor ON Long Island even the BIG boats have to wait sometimes to make it back in safe
