E200STLERK Evinrude 200 HP 1994. Compression numbers are 125, 128, 103, 125, 98, 97. I usually don't come across numbers this high on these engines. I understand the variance is not good. I bought the motor to part out in the first place but I will probably clean the carbs and run it a little and see if it gets better. I guess I am just looking for thoughts. I don't think I have seen many big bores like this with a compression over 110. Much less almost 130.

Have you tried another gauge for comparing? What does the carbon build up look like in the high cylinders?

Run some BRP Engine Tuner through it and follow the directions on the can. Then see what the compression is.

5 and 6 are always a tad lower due to head design as chamber CC is bigger.
