Okay, Here's the deal...
I've owned an Alumacraft Classic Deluxe 165 for 5 years now with few issues aside from one that has been nagging me the last 3 years.

I live in Wisconsin where the weather changes from one extreme to the other based on the time of year. In the spring I have no issues starting whatsoever. The temperature is usually in the 40's when we start walleye fishing. However, when we move into the muggy summer months, the issue begins==>>>

When I try to start I get a strong spin of the flywheel but no firing. I can smell gas and believe gas is getting to the carbs when I pressurize the line. This is what has worked for me in the past... I remove the control from the gunnel, open it up, and take a peek inside, playing with the wires. I do not witness any stripped wires or visible damage to the connections on the backside of the ignition switch. I put the control back together, mount it, turn the key and the engine starts right up. This has worked every time (probably a dozen overall) in the past 3 summers. Once it starts, it will continue to start every time until it sits a couple weeks. Then I have the issue again. The original ignition switch has never required me to use a kill lanyard.

Only thing I could figure was a faulty ignition switch so I replaced that tonight to no avail. (I used an OEM replacement with kill lanyard.) I did forget to double check that I was in neutral tonight but it is currently too late in my neighborhood to mess with the motor any longer.

Is there a possibility the high humidity is messing with the electrical? Do fuses act funky when the weather is humid? It is like voodoo the way it won't work and then will with little to nothing done. I suppose I may have a short somewhere near the control that is getting jiggled when trailering or messing with the control.

Any thoughts would be largely appreciated.
