This is a related question to my prior post on running out fuel. What is the best policy regarding storing the engine in the off season...carbs empty or full? We have blended gas ie. 10 percent ethanol, all year round due to being in the New York City vicinity. I used to store full, with 2+4 conditioner and stabilizer in the gas, the last few years I've disconnected the fuel, and continued to fog 'till she quit.

Here is where it is okay to run it dry. After all, gas that ain't in there can't go bad on you. As the motor is running out of gas, you'll be spraying storage fogging oil into the throats of the carbs. That will supply way more lubrication than the motor needs. So no worries. Just follow the instructions on the can. :)
