Hi to all!

I have a very good friend that was a cop for 20+ years, he took a bullet to the back and is now permanently disabled. He can no longer work on the Sea Doo Jet Flea he bought for his daughter a few years back, so I have offered to do it for him.

I have posted this info in the PWC forum, but the forum seems to be pretty dead and it's been sitting there for 2 days now with basically no replies. I am hoping that with the wealth of knowledge in this forum, sombody knows about Sea Doos also.

Quick story:

The ski was swamped. Got it running. The carbon seal and boot are junk. Need to replace them. Need to know if removing the shaft is easy to do, or best left to the pros. I have the service manual, but it calls for special tools which hees no willing to pay for. Any assistance would be appreciated! Please feel free to PM me to keep from loading this off topic post up.

DON- please give this post 24 hours before disposing of it...I'm desperate.

If the maintenance manual calls for "special tooling", the owner doesn't want to spring for the tools, it's out of your hands.
Send it to the shop.
