Ok thanks, can I just use regular two cycle oil to mix with the fuel in the TD20, or do I need to get a special marine 2 cycle oil for it?

Re: oi type?

Marine applications usually require TCW-3 (or TCW-III) depending on how artistic they feel. Look for NMMA approval and TCW-3 for marine use and you won't go wrong.

Bob

Agree.

Running conditions differ very much between a 2-stroke on-land lawnmower/cart/chainsaw etc. and a marine motor.

Alone the working temperature at sea (with plenty of cooling water) and the often long periods of running at rather constant rpm calls for another lube.

So, marine oil for marine applications - that's the way to go.

Hello.
The "W" in TCW-3 stands for water cooled,as opposed to air cooled.
Outboard engines are water cooled and therefore use a "W" type 2 cycle oil.
