Oil and water spilling out of the motor

We started the motor at home and was ok last summer. we took it to the water and took off the dock all fine. got to a fishing spot and shut down the engine.
When we tried to restart it wouldn't do it. Brought back to camp. Left it sit went out on the water and same story again. The motor is a 1977 Johnson 115 Hp.
Can you make out something of the pictures and video what could be broken to fix that leak and get the boat to start? Thank you.

i would start by checking the ignition system for strong spark on all plugs, if spark is good, check compression. the mess you are seeing appears to be excessive unburnt fuel oil mix.

The spark should jump a 7/16" open air gap on a spark tester.

Ok I will check the compression and the spark. For the mess, we used 40:1 as written with a marker on the tank later to find out it needed 50:1.
even with 40:1 it will still make a mess?

Well, 40:1 has more oil in the mix then 50:1 and you will see a bigger mess !

Is your primer bulb holding firm with engine off?
Sounds like a spark issue as mentioned above, even a well running engine will leak some unburnt two stroke mix- but not that much

You've got two issues going. Possibility that there is a spark problem in the ignition system. nwcove and boobie have suggested where to start your diagnosis on that issue. Keep in mind that weak ignition components tend to work when the engine is cold, then crap out once the engine heats up to normal operating temps. The apparent oil leak is a fixable problem. This oily residue is due in part to using too much oil in the fuel. Switch back to 50:1 gas to oil ratio. Usually this black, unburned fuel residue drains out of the prop area on these 2-strokes. Yours is coming out above the lower unit, from the water drain holes. Likely the lower seal between the gearcase and the exhaust tube is missing or deformed. (was the the gearcase recently off-for an impeller change? This seal tends to expand with age and may not re-assemble properly when the gearcase is put back on the engine.) When that happens, it lets the black exhaust residue bleed off at the top of the gearcase, as you see happening on your engine. While not a fatal problem, the exhaust at that point will exit close to the composite impeller housing-exposing it to the exhaust temperatures. That exhaust can heat-deform the housing over time. You may want to pull the gearcase off for a visual inspection of that seal.

Personally, I think it is a simple matter of you seeing fuel that has gone through the engine without burning. Then it picks up a bunch of black carbon residue from the exhaust areas. You have to find out why it isn't burning (running) and the drainage will take care of itself. Several have already suggested an ignition problem is not igniting the fuel charge, and I agree. It could also be a matter of TOO MUCH fuel, called "flooding". How about it, maybe the manual choke is in the "choke-on" position?

My question is - when you were running the motor, how long did you run it - and how fast?
Was there a lot of low speed operation ?
My initial thought was that the motor was being run "slower" than optimal - which would deposit the gooey crapola that you were looking at.
Many times, the lower rpm's are the hardest on a 2 stroke.

Answering pro-crastinator, yes the engine out of the water was running great, no oil leak. In the lake we did run it slow to get to the fishing hole. I didn't mention that yes oil leak did come out also from prop and we did change the Sparks with new to no avail then. The lower unit looks it is not the original and might have been replaced at some time but we don't know for sure. We thank all of you for your input we will get back to you soon as we tried what you have mentioned.
