I have read somewhere on here about the loading up on the 80's and 90's merc v-6's was caused many times by bypass valves in the oil injection. I'm fixing to do the carbs on my friends black max and was wondering about these...I would like to clean them. Where are they located?? What is the best way to clean them?? I would guess that they allow the oil to bypass the carbs at idle speed?? There isn't really a good explaination in the manual. Just wondering if anyone has seen or heard this and if so could advise me on it. He keeps the motor level when idling but its got to where it still loads up. Thanks alot!
