Oil coming from hole in lower unit

1968pontiacgto posted a question about oil coming from a weep hole in the lower unit. I am having the same problem so I thought I would post too and try and help us both out. I tried to post a link to the picture so you can see what we are talking about. Thanks

There is another thread that states: "What you're seeing may be unburned two cycle oil weaping from the midsection cavity."

Could it be that in my case maybe, I doing a 50 to 1 mix, Is that too much for a 115 hp Evinrude? I am running it with ears and it always seams to take over night before showing its ugly face!

It is unburned oil coming from the exhaust and absolutely normal in a two stroke. That's what the hole is for (and also for draining water out of the leg cavity). Your good to go with out worry. Rick.

and assuming the 115hp is post 1964, 50:1 is the right mixture...
