Oil Extractor

Good day,
I want to remove the old oil in my Twin 4.3L Merc. With those Manual Oil Extractors it takes for ever to pump all the oil from both engines.
I have a 12v Fluid Pump that I can use if possible.
My question is;
If I remove the Oil Dipstick from the Metal Tube and use the right size of hose to fit this metal tube on the outside & tight with a collar;
Will I be able to suck the oil from the pan ?

thats what I do with the manual pump.I have a hose adaptor that slips over the dipstick tube instead of using the threaded fitting on the dipstick tube

+1 and will add, let the motor run long enough to warm the oil (not full operating temp) and it comes out much easier with manual or electric
