I was wondering if anyone knows what the part # is for the oil filter on a 2002 70hp Johnson outboard 4 stroke? I believe it was actually built by Suzuki for Bombardier. The current one on it is 434-839 but the local dealer says it is a different one. Also do you have to use marine oil or will synthetic auto oil work?
<br /><br />A Suzuki Samurai oil filter will work just fine. It is a little larger but it will fit under the bonnet.<br /><br />Good luck.
