Oil Filter question

I have a 05 Yami 150. The manual states to change the oil every 50 hours. Shouldn't you change the oil filter as well? The manual is kinda vague about that and the only info I can find on the filter is every 100 hours or year. I just feel a bit dirty changing the oil and not the filter

I have the F150 and I always change the filter too. To me its cheap insurance. Although the filter ain't cheap, around $20-$25 depending where I buy it, although I think there is a NAPA gold filter out there now for this application that is a good filter but a little cheaper.
