Re: oil for Optimax

My guess would be that any oil specified for a DFI engine would work.

There are several brands that are.

Are DFI oils made to a certain spec? I would assume that all DFI engines have a certain generic spec for their engines - which happens to be met by their own OEM oil, and that spec is available in other brands, printed on the label?

billvet6,
I have the same motor on back order, how do you like it so far?
I was tempted to wait for the 115 e-tec but the summer would be over by the time I could take delivery!

so far I like it alot but haven't had it out much.
13 foot waves on Lake Michigan yesterday, and snow. The weather should start to improve I think,
then I can get out more.I traded in a Tracker with a 40 hrs Mercury for this one.The difference in the power is amazing.I like it.
