Oil From The Prop

Hi all, im new here.

can someone help tell me what is wrong with my 1976 15hp johnson?

just resently noticed some drops of oil on the garage floor below the prop:(
its coming out of the casing for the prop.

whats the problem and is it possible to fix this myself or is it to involved?

rebuilt my golf cart motor, i do have a bit of mecanical skills.
(but have never tore into a boat motor)

all ideas needed & welcomed, thanks; DEW

THANKS VERY MUCH, you have releived my worrys!!

it has to be unburnt gas/oil, i just changed the lower gear lube.
was'nt sure even though the i knew the exhaust comes out the prop.

To be safe, however, I like to check my lower unit lube oil at least twice a season to look for water/milkyness. If you decide to also, make sure that you replace the nylon plug washers each time.
