oil gas mix ratio

Can anyone tell me the oil gas ratio on a 1957 7.5 horse Evinrude outboard? and is 100% synthetic safe for this motor Thanks!!!

Hi, Tracker.<br /><br />OMC recommended 24:1 for your engine. That is 1 qt. of any TCW-3 rated outboard oil per 6 gallons of 87 octane, alcohol-free gasoline.<br /><br />Synthetic would do no harm to your engine.<br /><br />Good luck.
