OIL & Gas Mix Ratio

I know this is a silly question but Im new to the outboard world I have a 1983 70hp Johnson or so Im told . What is the gas oil fuel mix ratio the last outboard I had it was 50 to 1 but that was back in the 70s any help woould be appreciated

Hi, William.<br /><br />Any water cooled outboard made after the mid 60s uses a 50:1 mix if it does not have an oil injection system. <br /><br />Good luck.
