I have a 1973 6 HP Evinrude motor and I was wondering what oil/gas ratio to use. I've heard 32:1, 40:1, and 50:1. Which is it?

Also, I have a 6 gallon tank. Is there an easy way to tell how much oil to put in the tank? Such as one or two pints of oil for every full tank?

Jeff

Is it better to use 93 octane or should I stick with 87?

Jeff

Hi Loopit,
Try 3oz. per gallon that will be real close to 50:1 It also helps when you arn't putting in a full 6 gals.
