I have a johnson 60 1971 what is the proper gas/oil ratio in a 6 gallon can?

1 pint outboard 2-stroke oil to 6 gallons gas, called 50:1 (mathematically works-out to 48:1, but close enough ;) ). Marinas that sell premix (dang few anymore) actually put in 1 gallon oil for every 50 gallons gas. Either work fine. Use regular unleaded gas and don't sweat about the oil too much. Anything you get now is better than what was available then.<br /><br />See about de-carboning up in the FAQs. That motor is a prime candidate. Always keep your battery connections clean and tight (not just finger tight) or you can blow a $300+ ignition amplifier. :)
