Oil/Gas Mixture ratio 1985 150 hp Johnson

I just recently bought a 150hp 1985 Johnson. I was told to use a 6/1 gas/oil mixture. Is this correct?

50:1 ratio is correct if not using vro (oil injection)

well, kinda. its 50:1 . 50 parts fuel for 1 part oil.<br /><br />that 6/1 method is 6 ounces something like every gallon of gas, or something like that. just get one of these and youll be golden all the way home!<br />50:1<br />
