I have a 81 Ranger with a 87, 115 johnson. The boat has an oil pressure gauge that is not hooked up. My question is why does it have the gauge for a 2cyl engine.

What is the model number on that '87 115hp?

I would guess that its a H2O pressure guage on the dash.

I'll guess the same thing. Someone installed an oil pressure gauge they had laying around and was going to use it as a water pressure gauge on the boat :)

I was wrong in saying oil gauge. I looked at it closer and all it says is pressure. What would this be for and where would the plastic line hook to

It is a H2O pressure gauge. The hose connects to a nipple on the block or teed into the tell tale. Rt. hand, true story...I promise.
