oil guage for 150 Yamaha?

Hi, is this a must to have an oil presure guage on my 150 carb, Yamaha outboard? I can't to my understanding think why. I have a 2 gal, oil tank that is 12 volts and mix's whith the gas on it's own. (for give my spelling)<br /><br /> Ok, Thanks just kicking this around Please let me know if its a need. MERRY CHRISTMAS

your engine doesnt make any oil pressure.<br />i would steer away from modifying the oil pump and lines in any way at all.
