Re: Oil in exhaust?????

Think about it. You put oil in the gas. Every last drop of that oil goes through the engine. Some of it gets burned (smoke), and the rest goes out the exhaust. In the exhaust it gets mixed with the spent cooling water leaving the powerhead. Then it goes out, mostly through the prop hub. So.o.o.o. summing up, the oil goes out through the prop. Under certain conditions (engine temp, oil type, water temp, etc.) when the oil mixes with the cooling water it may emulsify to form a disgusting foam. Don't be concerned, it is nothing but the same oil that doesn't emulsify, and is perfectly normal.

If the oil discharge bothers you, use 100% Synthetic TCW-3 Outboard oil. It is claimed to be bio-degradeable.
