Ive got a 1992 40 hp tracker johnson ...went out for maiden voyage ,since its been sitting under a tree for 6 years....i bypassed the oil injecton but failed to cap the oil line ..would this cause engine to loose fuel pressure? boat ran great except its not getting fuel at wide open throttle

Yes now the motor will run out for a much longer time.... until the primer bulb on the gas line gets flat..then back to starving for gas...any one have any suggestions ?

Is the fuel tank vented? I once sucked a plastic tank almost flat cause I forgot to open the vent.

Re: oil injector bypass

theres defiitly a restriction could be vent as rudy says<br />could be a bad primer bulb, fitting at tank, tank or antisiphon valve (built in tank)
