Oil Leak

Have a 1988 50 HP 3 cylinder Mercury outboard that is leaking oil from the inlet holes on the lower unit. What might be the problem and how hard is this to fix?<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Randy

Not a problem if the "black oil" is leaking from the exhaust housing seep holes. It is unburned gas/oil that goes out the exhaust. No worry.
