what is the oil to gas ratio for a 1966 9.8 merc

Thanks for the info. I bought a 12' v bottom boat and trailer and when I picked it up this motor was with it. It has good spark and compression but there was no
manuals with it. Is this motor right for this boat power wise. If I need parts where can I get them, manuals also. I ran the id numbers it's a 110 1966 9.8

Check the plate on the back of the boat. It will list max Hp and Max number of passengers and Max weight. A 9.8 should be fine on a 12 Ft V Bottom. Congratulations on your new boat and welcome aboard the forum.
