I would like to make or find a device that would screw into the existing threads where the oil drain plug fits. Does anyone know of a petcock that would work. I have been told that the threads are 2-100 on the drain plug GM 350\260hp. What I plan to do is connect a hose and run it out the transom drain hole to drain the oil. If not I plan on making a funnel with a screen and hook the hose to the funnel and drain thru the drain plug hole. Someone told me that Mercruiser makes such a device but all the Mercruiser parts companies can't find it in there catalogs.

The drain hose is real SLOW compared to sucking it out the dip stick

Thanks for the replies. I saw a drill pump with an hose long enough to reach the bottom of my oil pan and I purchased it and will give it a try later today and let you know how it worked.

What year is your engine, you may not have to stick a tube down the dipstick tube. Does it have a ring of threads around the top of the dipstick tube, if it does, the tube is already at the bottom of the pan.
Those cheap drill pumps don't last more than one use. The impeller can't handle the oil and swells up and falls apart.
