Looking for any info for my sister in laws boat 97 3.0 LX Well Maintained Overheated 1 time in it's life (melted exhaust flap) but years ago. Last season developed low oil pressure when hot. I'm a auto mechanic by trade so pulled the mechanical gauge out and sure enough low pressure so it's not a sender or anything. Minor if any lifter or engine noise. Any common issues. Oil is synthetic 10W40 (not my pick but used since new). Thanks for any advice. before I pull the motor and go through it. By the way it's 5PSI when hot 40 when cold.
