Oil pressure alarm

Afternoon,

My understanding is the oil pressure alarm was an optional extra with Sea Ray that the original owner must not have opted for.
How easy is it to connect one up? Is it simply off the back of the oil guage?

I have also read of low gear oil alarms, quite sure the boat doesn't have any alarm for these types of things. Be good peace of mind to have these in place

Boat is a 203 sea ray 180br
Motor is a mercruiser 3.0

Btw I'm basing my wild guess I have no alarm on having the ignition turned to on (not acc) and hearing nothing. Have looked under the dash and see nothing that looks like it would be an audible alarm.

The parts you would need to set the up warning horn system will be found in the "C" area.

Mercruiser Oil Pressure Switch, 87-805605A1 plus you'll need a tee connection like from NAPA (two parts...#3327, and 3700).

Mercruiser part # 48952 Sender, Switch Assembly, Temperature, Mercruiser

The inline 4 cylinder has to use the red switch, while the V-6 and V-8 use black. They have different temperature thresholds...the V-6 and V-8 being higher. Run the part number in ebay to see what the red switch looks like.
