Oil pressure gauge

Why would my oil pressure gauge show oil pressure reducing in pressure while reving engine to higher rpm? Bad sending unit?

Hook up a mechanical gauge back on the engine and see if it still happens.

Will do, as soon as they get the new motor back in the boat. The gauge did this with both the last two motors. So I'm thinking it is the gauge or the sending unit.

Howdy,


You may have an electrical problem in the gage circuit.

Check all the connections, especially the ground connections on the engine, battery and up at the helm instrument panel.

If you don't find something obvious, you may have a sender or gage problem.
