Oil pressure

After running my 97 5.7 for awhile at mid range when i pull back to an idle I lose pressure to the point that the alarm sounds but if i keep it at 1200 for a few minutes before idle it's fine. Where should i look first?

Ayuh,... I'd start with the Oil,.... Change it, inspect the old, 'n Try it again...
How's the level,..??
