Hi
I have a squeeze bulb in my oil line that runs from my remote engine oil tank to the engine. Do I need to squeeze this everytime I start or just when I run it too low ? 1999 150 Johnson.

Unless you run out of oil, or change the VRO, or have let the boat sit for a season with no use, you shouldn't have to squeeze the primer at all. The VRO should pull the oil all by itself.

Mine is like that too, I think its the nature of oil , I removed the line from the engine and put big pliers on the bulb, it loosened up again but its still not as soft as the fuel bulb.

When you install the oil line, purge it until oil starts coming out the end of the tube, then push it on the fitting, secure with clamp.

BTW, you have to PUSH the line off the fitting at the engine, don't pull it.

Have you checked the engine out before the first splash, I would make sure everything is oky doky before taking it out.

KKob, Fill the remote oil tank, and run a tan of 50::1 premix fuel. If the motor uses oil from the remote tank, the OMS System is working.

Get a manual and trouble shoot the four alarms on that motor (low oil, no oil, overheat, check engine) Check engine is a gasoline restriction alarm.
