That XD 30 is low man on the totum pole. I'd use XD 50. BRP's Engine Tuner is an excellent decarb product. I've used it for years and always had good luck with it. JMHO.

Thanks guys, that's why I asked, where do you buy the XD-50 "Lots cheaper?" Found the BRP at Defender for $9.99. Does it matter carbureted or injected on the oil. I have carbs.

I agree with you there, this is a new to me boat, I picked up the day before my rotator cuff surgery on 10/30, so I haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet...so I'm stocking up on info, parts, and materials so when the fun gets going I'm ready......

The Bombardier XD50 oil has "CARBX" mixed in it. It's a carbon-removing additive. Supposed to clean as you run the engine. I agree with Boobie's recommendation. On V4 and V6 engines, it's the best oil. If you want to decarb the engine in a single process, the Bombardier Engine Tuner product is the easiest. It can be purchased with a connecting hose so that you can inject it directly into the fuel primer solenoid on the side of the engine. Great product and easy to use.

Gee, That oil is $40/gallon. You can get full synthetic oil for less than that. You can also get perfectly adequate dino TCW-III certified oil for about $12/gallon, as Wallyworld.

Boobie, I consider the Wallyworld TCW-III oil to be good. I bought some $40/gal full synthetic and did a fly-off against the wallyworld brand. Guess what...I found no difference...NONE...

That should start something.....

Thanks guys....Here is the next question on the oil, I believe I have the XD30 in there now (about 3/4 of the tank) or something reddish like it, it looks as though the XD50 is bluish, can I mix the two with no issue or should I take the old stuff out? Thanks, Bill
